We meet roughly once a month - you cand find our next meeting date on the events page. We have close links with a number of renewable technology companies and with local council departments and the regional energy agency concerned with energy efficiency and renewable power. We plan to move on to practical projects involving community scale renewables with community ownership.

11-12th September 2010
The third edition of the Eco-Renovation Open Homes Weekend has just started! Several new householders as well as home-owners from last year have already agreed to take part and offer visitors a chance to see their homes and the measures they have taken. We are still looking for more houses so if you are interested in taking part this year, or would like to know more about the project visitwww.stroudopenhomes.org.uk.
12-13th Sept 2009
This was an opportunity to visit homes around Stroud, see renewable energy in action, discuss energy efficiency and get advice on eco-renovations. There was a great range of micro renewable technologies, eco-renovation and new build... everything from solar water heating to external insulation, claimed in some reports to be the most energy efficient house in the world.

July 07
We have been meeting rather infrequently but the new year resolution is to get a regular monthly meeting. We've had trips to visit some innovative low energy buildings in the area. The new Greenshop office building in Bisley and Mike Hillard's Tranquility House project in Rodborough. There are mutterings about setting up an ESCO to launch some community scale renewable energy projects and also some involvement in setting up a Gloucestershire Sustainable Building Trust.
