REPEL THE FRACKERS & STOP THE INCINERATOR
Community Workshop

Date: Sunday September 7th 2014
Place: Maypole Hall, Paganhill, GL5 4AN
Time: 10am-5.30pm (bring a packed lunch)

The wonderful community training group will facilitate this practical, fun and informative workshop/skillshare in peacefully shielding our town and landscape from reckless, toxic industries currently threatening our air, land and water.

Come and find out how you can help with the mass community response we will need should they decide to build the incinerator. The skills learned will cross over should fracking ever come to our region. The event is free and there will be something for everyone to get involved in, whatever your talents and skills (and gluten free cake to boot!)

Transition Stroud is a dynamic group of volunteers who are supporting the local community to strengthen its’ local economy, reduce the cost of living and prepare for a future with less oil and a changing climate. Anyone can be involved.  Everyone is needed. We began in 2006, and are one of over 1000 similar initiatives around the world developing practical answers to the question – “How can our community respond to the challenges, and opportunities, of Peak Oil and Climate Change?”

And the Future?

“A future without oil could be better than the present if we use our imagination and think creatively.”
